My non-fiction topic is about macaws. Macaws are types of parrots that are very pretty (in my opinion)and colorful. They have quite a few abilities no other parrot would have. This topic has been very exciting yet educational for me. Read on to see the life of these amazing macaws!

I really like your piece! It brings out joy and sadness. The thing that I like about this piece is that you organized it in a very good way. There weren't any white spaces, (Or any that I saw.) and your word choice was excellent! One thing that you may want to work on is not saying "The reason behind this is..." You kept saying that in some places. And in the end you restated something that you shouldn't have. (That Macaws live up to 70 years in a zoo.) Otherwise it is really good!

ReplyDeleteSo I think you did well! I liked how you wrote a lot of interesting and cool facts about Macaws. I think that you should've put an Index and talk a little bit more about why Macaws are cool animals.
ReplyDeleteWow, Vainavi! I learned SO much reading your piece of writing! Who knew macaws were such interesting birds! You did a great job elaborating on your writing and explaining certain terms. I found that really helpful. The pictures you choose were fantastic and relevant to the captions you put. One area to work on is to always reread your writing for mistakes. I found a few in there that you might have caught. You had me wondering why macaws live twice as long in the zoo. I'm curious what that is? Overall, a real pleasure to read your writing kiddo! Super effort!
