Images of Singapore Museum Field Trip

I had an awesome time spending three hours in Images of Singapore Museum. I learned and saw many exciting facts and things/artifacts. Some things I saw were....

I saw some mannequins dressed up into different clothes. Those mannequins represented the people from different countries. There were stalls or goods around the mannequins too, those represented the jobs and tradings these people had back then. We could see the cozy, small homes and the life they had in rows of stalls.

We learned about the four winds. The four ethnic groups were India, China, Malaysia, and Europe. Each of the groups wanted one thing to come in their country. Together, the four groups came up with Peace, Harmony, Community and Family. These are the things they wanted Singapore to have to make it a better place to live in. So far they have succeeded!

We also learned about Singapore's history. There was a time when Japan had invaded Singapore and Singapore no longer became a free country. There was a possibility of war between Japan and Singapore, And war it was. In 1950, it was a big day for Singapore because Singapore got independence. It became a free country again!

Now I hope you know not only how much fun I had, but how much I learned!

  1. I also had SO MUCH fun there. It was a little hard though. I'm glad that you also had fun because there really is no point of going when you are not enjoying it. Great job on your reflection and keep up the good work.
