Christalite Methodist Home Field Trip

The field trip to Christalite Methodist Home went very well. I got to meet new people, and interact with them. I got to help homeless people decorate some Santa hats. A lot of the people I talked with and helped were very nice. At times they would say things I did not understand, but from the expressions on their faces, I could tell that they were very grateful.

I hanged out with a lot of people. Some people didn't understand what I was saying and I couldn't understand what they were saying! When we all spread around the room at the beginning, I met a man who I was going to help. I figured out that man didn't know how to speak english, he could only speak chinese. Luckily, I was sort of good at speaking chinese. I tried asking him what decorations he would like, but he just started saying some different words that I had no clue about. Then, he picked a red ball and started saying a sentence again and again. At the end, it turned out that he didn't want to decorate hats and he just wanted to listen to music. I turned around to help someone else.

This was a great experience, and I really hope to do this again, trying to be a bit more patient.

We are ready to decorate!
There were some really happy people that really like this experience. I also LOVED this experience very much. I would love to have events like this where I could help people like them. I enjoyed this a lot since it was my first time. Thank you Ms. Clayton for this wonderful opportunity!
