November's Cooking Challenge: Presentation


When we did our end of unit contest for soups and salads, I found our plating to be very fresh and innovative from the rest of the dishes. Using baby butternut lettuce cups as our base, with toothpicks to bind everything, we created a truly professional plating.

October's Cooking: Awesome Taste


I found the two treats made for Halloween were truly tasty and successful. The combination of crunchy sweet sugar cookies, and cinnamon tinged, moist pumpkin cookies really worked for me. And to top it off, I prepared a homemade vanilla glaze using ingredients I learned from Cooking class! MY FAMILY REALLY ENJOYED IT TOO!!!

September's Cooking: Overcoming Challenges


In this first month of cooking, I have developed a new and extremely important skill of cleaning up as I go, and washing dishes by myself with speed. I would know how to wash dishes, but this skill of speed and working neatly has really set me up to do better during cooking class, and home when I try preparing some really tasty treats.
